On another Jeff Hardy note, he has told those close to him that he doesn't plan on working a lot of indy dates, saying he's not interested in "flying around the country" as an indy wrestler.

I have just returned from a TV taping held for a local indy promotion in Lancaster, South Carolina. Much to my surprise, the main event of the evening was none other than JEFF HARDY! I'm taking the roll I have to a one-hour photo tomorrow, so I should have them available by then - Monday at the latest. I'll pass them along as soon as possible.
Hardy appeared as "Willow the Whisp" - an old gimmick he used to do before he made a name for himself in WWE. You could tell that Hardy was making an effort to disguise himself as he appeared in a mask similar to some I've seen worn by Luchadores (it looked kind of like the one Rey Mysterio, Jr. used to wear, except this one had a wig of long, white hair attached to its crown) along with an outfit that was basically a dress with some shiny blue/silver/gold fabric around the collar. The mask can be seen by clicking the link below! He came out to ringside wearing a long, black coat (similar to the one worn by Keanu Reaves in "Matrix: Reloaded"), and with entrance music courtesy of Marilyn Manson - I think; it sounded like Manson, anyway.
The match itself wasn't all that great given Hardy's past (it lasted about 10 minutes, with Hardy serving as the heel - he didn't cut a promo, either), but he still managed to inject most of the moves fans have grown to know him by. Still, it just seemed wrong when Hardy jobbed to Krazy K, the indy fed's cruiserweight champion. I can't imagine how it must feel for someone like him to go from working in front of 15,000 people every week to appearing in front of 30 people in a community recreational center, and having a match in a ring that was probably built in somebody's back yard. I have to say, though, that it was good to see him again and an honor to have met him as he spent a great deal of time meeting with fans after the match.
A few side notes from the show:
- In talking to the show's promoter after the event, he stated that there was a high probability of Jeff working for him again in the future in this gimmick.
- The TV taping actually began at around 6 PM, with the fed recording a month's worth of TV. The main event of the evening did not begin until around 10:30 PM thanks to Hardy being delayed (supposedly) because of bad weather in the Charlotte, North Carolina area (where he apparently was prior to coming to the venue). I guess all those reports of him being habitually late to shows were true, after all.
- Jeff's girlfriend is HOT! The show's promoter introduced her to the crowd before Jeff came out, and she sat with the wives/girlfriends of the other workers appearing at the event.
- A date/time slot for the TV was not given, nor was any announcement as to upcoming events in the area.
