"How can this be a good idea? I realize it's for charity and you want to be helpful, but dad, this is just wrong."

"How can this go wrong Shane my boy? It's the smartest idea I've had brought to me in a long time. Sure it's for charity, but we could really gain more women viewers with this."

"By making men parade around on a stage for women to bid on them? How is this going to be a good idea?"

"They won't be parading around, it's nothing demeaning to their characters. I've actually had a few guys on the roster already want to sign on for it. These women will bid on dates with their favorite wrestlers and the whole thing will go to charity. It's a sweet deal."

"I still think it's wrong though. I can't be a part of it."

"Well your sister has already signed on board for it, so if you cant find it in your heart to do it for your dear old dad, then I guess Stephanie will get to organize and run it. I have to admit that you being weary about this makes me wonder how good you would be running the company when I can't handle it anymore."

"You're saying if I don't do this for you, Stephanie will inherit the McMahon empire herself? God, that idea is even worse then this one."

"Well think about it Shane, and get back to me soon, because if you don't, then its going ahead without your input. This could be a good thing all around. The women can see what the guys are really like when they aren't in the ring, and get the date of their dreams. The charity gets all the money and we get more exposure then we ever have. You'll see, it's going to be a good thing."

"Well then I'm going to just sit back and watch on this one dad, because when it does fail, which I know it will, I want to be there to tell you I told you so."

"Thank you for meeting with me on such short notice John. There's something that my father and I would like to go over with you, and see if you would be able to do it for us."

"Okay, it's not an issue Stephanie, but you want to fill me in first?"

"Most definitely. We have joined up with a local New York charity, called New Hope, and the idea is to have a bidding contest for the men of the WWE. They win a date with the superstar of their choice, and we get to help the charity out. How does that hit you?"

"You want me to be one of the guys on the auction block?"

"Yes we do. We are trying to compile a list of guys that are single on the roster so that we can make this thing work. Now the last time we actually sat down and talked, you mentioned not having any ties at home, so I'm hoping that means you are able to do it."

John laughed and paced around the room. This was the most far-fetched idea he had ever heard, but he thought it could work well. He didn't want to let Stephanie know this right away though, because he wanted to see who else had signed on for it first. He didn't want to be like a fish out of water, and it was nice to help a charity.

"Who else is in this fashion show with me, if I decide I want to do it?"

"So far we have Jason Reso (Christian), and we have Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy since he recently split from Lita. We've also asked Randy Orton to be a part of it, as well as Brock Lesnar, Brian Kendrick, and Zack Gowen."

"They are all the young guys, so what happens if there are older ladies there too? Are we supposed to date someone like our grandma?"

Stephanie thought about it for a second and laughed. He did bring up a valid concern though. One that she had already been to her father about. There would be older ladies there, and it would be nice to have them able to bid on someone they might have liked when they were a little younger and more into it. Vince had left it up to her to make the final decision and with John's comments now, she knew she had to get some of the other guys involved.

"We've gone over that aspect. I was just naming some of the guys you might have ridden the road with over the time you've been here. We've lined up Bill Goldberg, and Eric Bischoff, as well as Jerry Lawler, who can't wait to be some young things date. I'm still trying to get a few more of the older guys interested, but nothing is set in stone yet. We just know we want to help the charity so that it succeeds with what it wants to do."

"Well, I'm in Stephanie. I think its a good plan for the charity and who knows, you could end up meeting the girl of your dreams, if she decides she wants to be generous and put her money towards something worthwhile. So where do I sign up?"

"You just did it. Thank you for being so co-operative John, and when everything is finally set in stone I will announce it to the locker room on both shows and we can get this thing off with a bang. Now you can go prepare for your match against Sean O'Haire, he's also being considered. Have fun out there tonight."

John shook Stephanie's hand and made his way out of the office. It wasn't finalized yet, but he had a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach that nothing good could come from this on their end. It would succeed without a shadow of a doubt, he knew, but it wouldn't be problem free the whole time. He had to accept it though, because he had just agreed to be put on the auction block.

"So Stephanie, who is on the final list for the charity auction?" Vince asked wanting to prepare himself so he could inform the charity.

"We have a selection of the younger guys that we are pleased with and that seemed happy enough to do it for us. We've acquired Brock Lesnar, Matt Hardy and his brother Jeff, Sean O'Haire, Randy Orton, Zack Gowen, Jason Reso, Brian Kendrick and of course John Cena."

'Are you sure that asking John was a good idea in the long run? I'm not familiar with the fan reaction with him and his rap persona. I don't want to make this thing into a spectacle. I want this to be as classy as possible, because in the long run it could look better for us as well as the charity."

'I've gone over all of my concerns with John and I do know the female reaction to him. To prove that, we've gone to the trouble of polling the women in the audience at a recent Smackdown show, and the results were staggering."

"They don't want to see him do they?"

"No actually on the contrary, they want to see him more then they want to see people like Matt and Brian, and they are the baby faces of the show right now. I've talked to John about this, and he is completely one hundred percent in, so I think it could work out well."

"Any more thoughts on what to do for the older generation?"

'Well we know that Hogan and his wife just split, and a lot of women thought he was a God in his day, so we've asked him and he's accepted. We've also got Jerry on board and really looking forward to it which scares me, but in the long run it looks good for us. Bill Goldberg isn't as old as the others, but he is in for it as well. Eric also said that he would throw in the towel for this event and not try to out do me. He is interested in being placed in it as well. Which could turn out well, because on camera he is an asshole, but off camera you couldn't find a better guy. I just don't like how he does business. There is also the option of using Steve Austin. He gave me his blessing, and I'm thinking it could turn out well for him as well."

"So we have the old timers and the new up and coming guys taken care of. Any choice of a venue for this event as of yet?"

"Yes dad, we've booked Madison Square Garden for two weeks from tonight. We expect a good turn out for this, and if it works well, in the future we could have ourselves another one. But I want to take this one step further."

"How so?"

"Lets make it better by having these dates on camera, like the Real World but in a dating game sort of way. We want people to see how good this really is right? Seeing how these guys act when they aren't in the ring will entice more people to watch and raise our female demographic to a height never reached before. How does that sound."

"You want these dates to be on television do you?"

"Yes, that's what I think would make it seem more real."

"Then it's done, and Stephanie, I'm glad you agreed to do this for your old man. This is one of the biggest things the WWE has ever done, and I think we are in for a hurricane of massive proportions. Set the wheels in motion and I will see you in two weeks for the main event. The wrestlers are now up for grabs, they just don't really know it yet."
