WWE will be releasing a Brock Lesnar: Here Comes the Pain DVD on August 12th.
There is a strong possibility that The Rock will be appearing on tomorrow night's RAW, since it takes place in Vancouver, which is where he's filming his new movie "Walking Tall". However, since WWE never acknowledged his appearing on the show, it still isn't 100% confirmed that he'll be there. Of course, The Rock was also scheduled for RAW two weeks ago, but he wasn't able to be there due to his filming schedule. I guess we'll just have to wait until tomorrow night and see what happens.
WWE is blaming the low attendance at the Summer Slam press conference that featured the announcement of Triple H vs. Goldberg as the show's main event, due to the fact that it took place on the same day that Saddam Hussein's sons were killed.
Despite being injured, Triple H should still be at Monday's RAW. He is not expected to wrestle, however, since the plan is to keep him out of the ring until the Summer Slam PPV.
Bret Hart will be doing voice-overs for the new cartoon "Jacob Two-Two", which will premiere in Canada on 8/7 on YTV at 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Harry Smith, the son of the late "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, will receive dark match tryouts before Monday's RAW in Vancouver and at Tuesday's Smackdown taping in Kelowna.
There is a lot of talk within New Japan Pro Wrestling that Hulk Hogan will be brought in to work a Tokyo Dome show in the future, but Hogan's steep price may prevent that from happening.
Vince McMahon and Zach Gowen practiced their match several times last week in Stamford so they'd be ready to go at Vengeance.
The word going around backstage is that Vince McMahon was furious with the camera work during last week's segment on RAW where Kane tombstoned Linda McMahon. The cameras were supposed to be focused on Kane's back during the move, but the camera crew messed up and everyone saw that Linda's head came nowhere close to the floor. What made matters worse is that Vince McMahon was seen coaching the camera crew throughout the day to make sure it was done right.
Brock Lesnar will most likely turn heel on Kurt Angle during the cage match at this week's Smackdown.
Kane will be debuting a new entrance video on tonight's RAW.
The reason behind the decision to turn Gail Kim heel on RAW is because the creative team was confused as to why she didn't get over well as a babyface. Rather than just give up on her, they wanted to try to get her over as a heel by feuding with the most over female in the company in Trish Stratus.
For those wondering, the reason the main event for Summer Slam was changed from a one on one Triple H vs. Goldberg match to an Elimination Chamber match, it goes something like this. Triple H expressed some concern over working a one on one match with Goldberg due to his injury and not being able to practice the match at house shows. Because Triple H couldn't be at 100% and with some fearing that the match wouldn't deliver, the decision was made to go with the Elimination Chamber Match. This will allow Triple H to drop the title without having to be in the ring for an extended period of time.
Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Nash in a "Hair vs. Hair" match has been announced for next week's RAW.
After Triple H was injured during the dark match with Goldberg after last week's RAW, Vince McMahon personally asked Goldberg if he would do him a favor and fill in for HHH by working the Australia shows. Goldberg reportedly declined McMahon's request, claming he already had other plans for the weekend. Although Goldberg wasn't contractually obligated to work the shows due to his limited schedule, many saw this as proof that he isn't a team player by not helping the company when they needed him the most. Because of this, several sources are speculating that Goldberg's days in WWE may be numbered.
The word going around at RAW is that Kevin Nash has some sort of nerve injury in his back. Apparently, this was the cause of him fainting during an autograph signing in Australia.
Speaking of Nash, he has been telling people that he has gotten a part in a movie that will require him to either cut his hair very short or shave his head completely bald. WWE officials found out about this, which is why the announcement was made for a "Hair vs. Hair" match for next week's RAW.
The reason Booker T was not at RAW last night is because he was sent home following the tour of Australia due to a back injury. He had been working with the injury for a few weeks before the tour, but with the long flight to and from Australia, plus working on the tour, the injury worsened. He should be back on RAW next week.
Although he wasn't seen on camera, The Rock was indeed backstage at RAW last night. WWE simply chose not to write him into the show because there was no point in putting him on television for one week when they're trying to develop feuds for Summer Slam.
Brock Lesnar was also spotted backstage at RAW. Since the Smackdown crew had last night off and he was in the area, he decided to stop by and visit friends.
Jim Ross is expected to make his return to the announce table on next week's RAW. The original plan was for him to be out until Summer Slam, but the company feels it would be best to have him return a few weeks early to help sell the PPV.
To follow-up the Goldberg story I posted earlier, I have just received word that Goldberg not agreeing to work the tour was due more to logistics and a lack of time more than anything else.
Goldberg was approached by Vince McMahon to take HHH's place on the tour after he had already flown home to Atlanta after RAW. His passport, however, was in San Diego and there wasn't a visa ready for him as he wasn't originally booked for the tour. That made it nearly impossible for him to work the tour, even if he wanted to.Goldberg never told anyone that he couldn't work the tour, although that was the story going around in the locker room.
