After a long awaited amount of time, here comes my commentary on Raw. There will also be one with Vengeance as the main player, but for now, Im focusing on what I know at this point.
It wasnt too much of a shock to see Vince at the show. He had said the night before on the Pay per View that he would be there, and in times of need its good when he shows up because he sticks up for what he believes in, mainly at this point it would have been his wife. Now I am not going to sit here and dissect the show or anything, because I dont see the point when it was still shit. What I am going to say here that Vince and the way he chose to do things was not helping the ratings. No one showed up there to see some old asshole align himself with a monster. Well wait, maybe some of you did do that, but for me that wasnt what I was paying my cable company for our sports channel to see. When Austin made his way out to the ring and asked to be provoked, now I have to admit, this was good. I mean who the hell wants to see Eric alone run things? I mean I have nothing at all against Eric, but I am not one of those people that think hes better off running it himself. I think without Steve, he wouldnt even get the ratings he is getting. So good on you for staying Steve, and for asking Kane to stand up to you, which it was obvious he is never going to truly do, because Kane might look like a monster, but hes got nothing to back it up with.
The re appearance of Shane McMahon was planned; I mean if you read anything about wrestling, you know its happening before it happens. At least thats what its like for me. If WWE actually did things that actually shocked me, then I might not want to know whats happening before it happens, but at this point I do, so good on them. I like Shane, I always have, and I think them dropping him owning the WCW was stupid. With the news that WCW will be coming back I hope that means that he will be coming back as well. I think when the big dog Vince decided to step down, Shane will do a good job. Not saying that his sister wont, but where she is right now suits her, and I think that shes awesome at it. For Shane Ive always seen so much more. I mean he is the son, and the company seems to go to son a lot of the time. I just hope when the time comes Shane is ready and can do an awesome job of carrying it on, because after what he did on RAW I think he still has it in him. Good on Shane for coming back and for the WWE for bringing him back and giving us something to cheer about for the first time in weeks.
Rosie. Now I will admit that when he was in 3 minute warning he was being wasted. Doesnt mean I hated him, because I seldom actually hate wrestlers (well maybe lance storm a little). I just hate when they have these guys and they dont use them right. Does anyone remember Jeffs last days with the company? I mean I hate to throw him into everything since he isnt there anymore, but he got the shit writing towards the end, so why not leave? How many matches do you have to lose before you become something cool? I think Shane Helms (I refuse to call him Hurricane at this point) has the same issue. Hes been dealt a shitty hand, and maybe now with this whole protégé thing going down, maybe he can get back to where he was before, or somewhat better? I dont want to be at work and go to the WWE website and hear that he had his ties severed anytime soon. But then again thats just me. So placing the two of these guys together can only help both of them out. I mean they even had the Gaul to throw in Goldust and he actually made it pretty funny, giving Rosie his own appropriate name. The Shit, LOL. My hope for this is that it goes the distance and isnt just another thing they start on RAW that they cant finish. I think these two can be better used then they are. Its keeping me tuned in now thats for sure.
My Last Rant today will be based around Evolution. Paid, Laid, and Made. Truly is a motto for life isnt it? Even the fattest person on earth can identify with that. So good on the WWE creative department for doing such a good job with the promotion, not to mention, shirt and music? This group is awesome now that they have big nose in it. Alright so my thoughts about Evolution are simple. I think Shawn Michaels/Randy Orton is a good match to see on a PPV. More so then Jericho and Shawn because Shawn has something to prove to this kid. Chris in the background of the business has no issue with Shawn and looks up to him, and maybe Randy does too, I have yet to see that, but hes cocky and someone needs to put him in his place. I also want to say that Kevin really took Chris to the limit on RAW and well it was nice for Chris not having a match with someone named Michaels. LOL he got what he had coming to him. I like Randy Orton and I think he is the future of the business, so seeing him facing Shawn would be a nice treat, because we know Shawn isnt afraid to lose to someone like HHH is. So what Im saying in all this mess is they did a good thing with the Highlight Reel this week in having Randy and his RKO and Shawn Michaels and his ass kicking. It was entertaining.
