*!Jim Ross Segment on Off The Record!*

You Want To Know What Jim Ross Had to Say on Off the Record, and couldnt get a chance to watch the program in the United States? Well You've clicked on the right link. Here are a few notes from that brodcast. Enjoy!

- Said they need to get back to what got them to the dance with Goldberg and that the mistakes they made were trying to duplicate the streak from Nitro, adding humor to his characters and having him talk a lot instead of just kicking ass in the ring. He thought his match with Jericho was good for Bill and said his feud with Jericho is going to help him because Jericho is so entertaining and good.

- Said he doesn't feel guilty for any drug related deaths that have happened on his watch. He said he can't go to the hotel rooms with the talent at night but that he did try to council Jeff Hardy over and over again and that he gave him one, or two drug tests but doesn't know how much more he can do then that, thus forcing Hardy's termination.

- Talked about Brian Pillman and how he tried to help him when he was having drug problems. He said Pillman had the same problems when he played football.

- Said he sees Mick Foley wrestling on a part time basis.

- Said he doesn't think there going to turn into WCW with all the old guys, (Hogan, Flair, Piper) because they are attempting to balance out who gets exposure between old and young. Brought up the example of Randy Orton getting the big rub on Raw.

- Said he talked with Sting a for a few weeks last year but that Sting has a ton of money and is a religious and family man so it might be difficult, but he would like to work something out down the line. Lansberg brought up pairing Sting with HBK because they're both big believers in religion.

- He doesn't see Savage fitting into there plans but never say never. He said he would have said the same thing about Sable, but that the demographic of 18-34 males craves her "assets" and creative had a plan for her. He said he was the one who hired her back. He said he has been fired twice so he thinks everyone deserves a second chance.

- He said he is trying to give the talent as much rest as possible with the four nights on, three nights off plan that they do right now in regards to dates they work.

- Concerning Kurt Angle working Wrestlemania, he said Kurt saw Dr. Youngblood in San Antonio and he said that Kurt wouldn't be risking anymore by doing the one match at Mania except maybe a bit more discomfort. Lansberg brought up how Vince didn't want him to do the match and Ross said if there was even one tiny chance that Kurt could be risking paralysis they would not of put him in the ring for that match, no matter how much he wanted to do it.

- He said back in the generations before him, the guys would get shot up and go out and work, but that isn't the case anymore and he doesn't think they have any talents on drugs as of now. He said guys who got shot up back in the old days probably happened in every sport, which is why old timers always say the guys in their day, were tougher.

- He said Trish Stratus is an example to all female wrestlers and may have worked harder then any female or male wrestlers to get where she is at. He jumped around the question of whether they tell other females to wrestler like her, but said when they interview new women they bring her name up as an example to follow.

- He said Steve Austin is coping with not wrestling fairly well and that Ross is consistently talking to Austin about expressing himself more since he does it so well on camera. He said last year Austin was boggled down with being burnt out, a bad marriage and the fact that he knew his time in the ring was coming to an end.

- In regards to Booker T not getting the push he deserves, he said Booker's time is coming for the World Title and that he has something good going right now in the feud with Christian being the heroic underdog going for the IC Title and how that's a good story being told.

- Put over the cookbook.

- Lastly, Lansberg asked if JR was being interviewed now for an announce position in WWE would he take him knowing how JR looks? JR tried to get away with not answering this one saying; Vince and Kevin Dunn handle that. Lansberg forced him and he said probably not on first impression, but after seeing his passion and old school drive most likely.
